Filing hundreds of ITRs before the July 31 deadline, reconciling GST returns, and closing statutory audits means our CAs and support staff spend long hours at a desk — often back-to-back through tax season. It’s one of the quieter costs of this profession: neck stiffness, lower back pain, and the kind of posture strain that builds up over years of desk-based work.
Earlier this year, we partnered with Physionutra Clinic, a physiotherapy and rehabilitation clinic based in Panchkula, to support our team’s physical wellbeing. Their team ran an on-site ergonomics assessment for our Panchkula office, looking at how our staff sit, how our workstations are set up, and where small changes could prevent long-term strain — the same kind of desk-posture issues Physionutra covers in their own ergonomics self-assessment guide.
A few of our team members with existing back and neck discomfort also went through short physiotherapy sessions with their clinic, and the difference in day-to-day comfort during peak filing season was noticeable.
Why this matters to us: At Sidhi & Associates, we’ve always said our growth is built on our people — the CAs and staff who make it possible to serve 5,000+ clients across 13+ offices. Investing in their physical wellbeing isn’t separate from that; it’s part of the same commitment to doing things properly, for our clients and our team alike.
If your own team spends long hours at a desk, it might be worth having a conversation with a physiotherapist before small aches become bigger problems. We were glad to have Physionutra’s team look after ours.
